The 2015 Pink Wig Gala will feature a live performance from Kirby Criddle & The Steadies!
We’ve rounded up some of Saskatoon’s best live performers to entertain you throughout the evening.
The Steadies
The Steadies take the explosively popular Top 40 sound and mix it with rocksteady and reggae influences, creating what they’ve dubbed, “island rock.” No matter your mood, The Steadies pick you up and carry you to the beach in your mind, the club in your dreams, the place you go to clear your head and dance. It’s a scene where rumbling fault lines rip open the dance floor, and the only thing that keeps you from falling over is the gravitational pull of the steady beat. The Steadies aren’t invited to the party–they are the party.

Phoenix Laurén
Up next Phoenix Laurén will bring sexy soulfulness to the crowd.
Phoenix Laurén, front woman of Saskatoon born band “The Strength”, is a world class RnB star on the rise with a sultry power voice. She sings with conviction from the very depth of her being, making her music and all she produces the definition of “soul”. Her first EP is set to be released just in time for The Strength’s performances at this years Jazz Fest. Make sure you’ve brought your dancing shoes – this girl brings the heat!
Mo Love
Did we ever have fun with this group last year – we just had to have them back! Mo Love, a band born in the mind of Christian Kongawi, has been fleshed out and realized by some of Saskatoon’s best young musicians. Previous incarnations included Phoenix Laurén, Josh Palmer, Gent Laird, Ariel Sanders, Ben Parker, and many more. Now Mo Love returns with some new members, some familiar faces, and the same great grooves; from the classic hits of Detroit’s Motown Records, Stax Records from Memphis Tennessee, and all of the music up to the present that has been inspired and derived from this ever important musical time period.
The current line-up consists of local legend Theresa Sokyrka on vocals, Elias Edlund on guitar and vocals, Ryan Marshall holding down the bass, and Roger Mercier on drums. They are back to rock the Second Annual Pink Wig Gala, and they are ready to make you dance!
